I'm Number One!

One criticism I've heard time and again is that "you're almost as bad as Jacob Stein". Well, as I strive for excellence, I've never been quite so happy with that. "Almost"? That's like, second best. I hate second best.
Fortunately while trolling the internet I found evidence to the contrary. Apparently this guy (name sounds really Jewish, eh?) has a very high opinion of me:
Garnel Ironheart, you are an ------! I say that without an iota of regret. As far as deceitful ------------s are concerned, in the skeptic Jewish blogosphere there none worse than you. Do you honestly think you are going to bring any of those countless apikores back to the frum world, by pulling all the --- you do?
You hear that? "None worse" than me! Hah, take that Stein! I'm number one! I'm number one!

I have to say, I am getting to be a pretty big fan of yours myself.

Sorry, dude, I don't care what that guy says, you're not in Jacob Stein's league. You're fairly rational, and you tend to treat opposing points of view with respect. So, get with the program. Either tell me that my disbelief is purely a function of some kind of sexual dysfunction/moral perversion, or quit trying to play in the big leagues.

As my mother, ah"s whould have said, "YOU? You're not such a great deceitful ------. Get over yourself."

Semi-seriously, why would they accuse you of deceit, davka? Poor diagnostics at the very least,Doctor Ironheart.

Hi Manya,

Some atheists work with the following logic:
a) There is no God (chas v'shalom)
b) You, Garnel Ironheart, keep acting as if there is.
c) Therefore you, Garnel Ironheart, are lying.

Garnel, get on with yo' bad se'f. My mother would have made reference to something like the old joke, "Me, I'M an apikorus. But YOU'RE just an am ha'aretz.".

No, Manya, this is how the old joke goes:
The student comes to the rebbe and says "You know, rebbe, I just can't believe in this anymore. I'm going off to become an apikores."
The rebbe looks at him and askes "How long have you been learning for?"
"Fifteen years" replies the student."
"Feh, you don't know enough to become an apikores."
